It all began with a podcast – The Basement Hangout.

We were diving into current events, comedy, and guest interviews — a mix of laughs and takes. But something unexpected kept happening: on recording nights, we found ourselves way more hyped about the food we were about to grill than the podcast we were about to record.

Every time we wrapped up a show, the real excitement started when we fired up the smoker or cracked open the grill. Eventually, we stopped ignoring that passion.

So we pivoted.

Around the same time, Chad’s Weber SmokeFire crapped out — and Weber sent him their next-generation pellet grill, the Searwood. That sparked our first videos: testing, reviewing, and smoking everything we could on the Searwood. It clicked.

The response from fellow backyard pitmasters was incredible.

Since then, we’ve expanded beyond reviews into full-blown recipes, head-to-head grill comparisons, and all things smoking, searing, and grilling. Today, TBH Grillin’ is where we share our love for the flame, our failures, and our best eats — from smoked pork belly tacos to pellet grill face-offs.
