Next Grill Up

We get asked a lot for reviews on specific grills, and we love the suggestions, but it gets expensive!  NEXT GRILL UP is a chance to crowdsource the funding of half the cost and give back to our viewers at the same time!

Vote with your dollars and we’ll purchase the first grill to hit 50% of its regular price and put it through the full cook, breakdown, and brutal truth.  Donate as little or as much as you want–100% goes toward the grill purchase and we pay the balance.  And when it’s all said and seared… one lucky donor wins the grill.   • We bought the Campchef WoodWind Pro 36 ourselves during the black friday sale, so we have replaced it here with the Recteq Flagship 1600 and reallocated the donations accordingly.

  • After all the tests and comparisons have been done on the MB Gravity 1150, it’s time to pick the winner using random.org’s completely randomized drawing service.

8/2/2025

  • The Masterbuilt Gravity 1100 has won the first campaign!  We will purchase and review it over the next few months and everyone who donated to any of the grills in the campaign will be entered to win it once our review series is complete.  Every dollar donated will be equal to one raffle ticket for the random drawing!

7/11/2025

  • Every dollar you donate now counts as one raffle-style “ticket” in the randomize drawing.  The more dollars you donate, the more chance you have to win the grill that reaches its donation goal.
  • Due to popular demand, the Recteq DualFire has been changed to the Masterbuilt Gravity 1100 and the Grilla Grills Silverback has been changed to the Campchef Woodwind Pro 36.

Next Grill Up Campaign – Terms & Conditions

By making a donation to the Next Grill Up campaign, you agree to the following terms:

  1. Donations Are Final: 
    All donations are non-refundable. Please contribute only if you’re fully on board with the campaign goals.
  2. Grill Selection Is Based on Campaign Outcome: 
    Your donation does not guarantee that the grill you selected will be reviewed. Only the grill that first reaches 50% of its regular price in donations will be selected for our full review and multi-episode cook series.
  3. Campaigns May Be Retired: 
    We reserve the right to end donation campaigns for grills that receive limited support over time. In such cases, funds may be reallocated to another grill at our sole discretion.
  4. Grill Giveaway Terms: 
    Every donation enters you into a drawing to win the reviewed grill once our testing is complete.
    • Every dollar you donate counts as one “ticket” in the randomized drawing. The more dollars you donate, the more tickets you have in the random drawing.
    • The grill you donated toward may not be the one reviewed if another reaches its donation goal first.
    • If you win the drawing, you win the grill that reached its donation goal first, not necessarily the grill you donated to.
    • Local pickup may be required for winners.
    • If pickup isn’t possible, we’ll work with you to arrange shipping with mutually agreed terms and shared costs.
  5. Transparency & Updates: 
    We’ll post regular updates about campaign progress, grill rankings, and reviews on our site and via email. While donations do not entitle you to editorial input, we always welcome feedback and suggestions from our community.
